Group Design Partnership was founded in May 1990. Starting with a staff of 8, it has grown to its current strength of 290. In November 1994, our firm was incorporated as a private limited company and has since come to be known as GDP Architects Sdn Bhd (GDP). The camaraderie amongst the founding partners gave the firm the verve and impetus to carve a niche in the architectural environment of the day. It is the foundation upon which the firm has been built and the basis, which continually inspires and breathes new life into GDP.
At GDP, we take the approach that a practice, which addresses context, creates its own culture and environment. Our works are not confined to a singular architectural style but are expressions of the diverse minds within the office. All are committed to create innovative, workable solutions in response to the unique characteristic of each project. Our approach to design is thus a collective effort, which guides design decisions and the individual thinking processes. This strategy hinges on ready communication among project team members and guards the accurate exchange of information. Active collaboration with clients, consultants and specialists enables us to achieve design excellence. Experience with international partners and projects, has provided our firm with invaluable cross-cultural and technical expertise.
Our portfolio includes a variety of building types such as residential buildings, educational buildings, hospitals, universities, commercial developments, hotels and hospitality related projects, transportation buildings, government office buildings, corporate offices and mixed-use developments.
